Searching offensive computing

Hi every one,

I'm not sure how many of you have tried the search capability on the right side of this webpage. I tried it many times, the problem is that it does not return any results, i.e. the answer is always "no match" no matter if there is actually a content including the search terms or not.

I think it would be useful if this is fixed.

By the way I use the "Search for sum or name" and it works.

What are your search terms? It could be that we just don't have what you're looking for.

That's a case of the antivirus vendors not agreeing on a name. If you search for another name that Conficker is known by like "Downadup" you'll get lots of results.

I´ld say the database has not been indexed since 2007 that´s why a term like "conficker" gives no results.

We have a limited number of

We have a limited number of antivirus scanners. Those are limited to the ones that work in Linux. I'm not sure which AV calls the virus Conficker, but all of ours refer to it as downadup.

The database is indexed every day.
